Job summary

g2 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee a major data centre development in Vienna. The role offers ownership of site operations, drives project performance, and a pivotal hand in delivery of a high-profile build.

Responsibilities include leading day-to-day construction activities, coordinating subcontractors, tracking schedules, and ensuring safety, quality, and compliance on site.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale construction projects as a Construction Manager or Site Manager.
• Background on data centre, mission-critical, industrial, or complex infrastructure developments.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and project execution.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Fluent English; German language skills would be beneficial; EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for day-to-day site operations and construction activities.
• Direct and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel.
• Track project schedules, monitor progress, and ensure delivery against key programme targets.
• Maintain the highest standards of health & safety, quality, and compliance.
• Chair coordination meetings and proactively address site challenges.
• Oversee site logistics, workforce planning, and resource allocation.
• Assist with commissioning, testing, and final project handover.
