Ideal candidates have 5+ years in market surveillance or compliance within crypto or financial sectors, with strong data analysis and English/German language skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Market Surveillance, Trade Oversight, or Compliance within crypto or financial sectors.
• Deep understanding of MiCA and market abuse regulation; knowledge of Austrian laws is advantageous.
• Proficient data analysis and familiarity with surveillance software and crypto-market microstructure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor 24/7 trading activity for market abuse indicators using automated tools.
• Investigate alerts and perform forensic analysis of orders and trades to distinguish legitimate activity from manipulation.
• Ensure surveillance aligns with MiCA standards and ESMA technical requirements; maintain audit trails.
• Lead end-to-end market abuse case lifecycle from detection to closure.
• Prepare STORs for regulators and keep investigations audit-ready.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Data teams to tune surveillance parameters and reduce false positives.
• Conduct Market Abuse Risk Assessments for new tokens and trading products.
• Educate trading and product teams on market abuse trends and integrity.
