Job summary

ALDI SÜD Holding in Austria seeks a finance and controlling professional to act as a strategic partner. You will analyse performance, review country results with leadership, and translate data into actionable measures that align with the Group's goals.

The role requires SAP FI/CO and SAP BW knowledge, strong BI skills, and excellent stakeholder communication. You will drive ad-hoc analyses, monitor KPIs, and support senior management with clear, data-driven narratives.

Qualifications

• Several years of working experience in Finance / Controlling / Accounting in an international corporate organisation.
• Degree in business administration, economics or finance.
• Experience in (grocery) retail is a plus.
• Specialised qualifications or working experience in SAP FI / CO, SAP BW.
• Confidence with BI tools and dashboards, queries etc.
• Strong analytical skills; ability to combine quantitative and qualitative data.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders at various levels.
• Desire to work in dynamic environments with international stakeholders.
• Business-fluent in English.

How You’ll Make Your Mark

• You’ll collaborate closely with an assigned country of the ALDI SÜD Group as a strategic Business Partner, ensuring comprehensive data analysis that translates into actionable insights, ultimately enhancing performance and aligning with the Group’s strategic goals
• You'll proactively engage in business performance reviews with country leadership by presenting key findings, discussing implications and collaboratively developing measures for improvement. This proactive engagement will foster alignment on performance initiatives and drives accountability
• You’ll be tasked to source and rigorously analyse market trends and competitor activities to develop a deeper understanding of market dynamics. This includes identifying emerging trends, assessing opportunities for growth and improvement and discovering potential threats that could impact the country’s performance
• You are expected to manage timely and accurate reporting processes, while overseeing ongoing monitoring and planning efforts for the country’s performance metric
• As part of your role, you will analyse and review operational KPIs to provide transparency about the country’s performance, linking these to the Group’s steering relevant KPIs. You will be asked to challenge the data and act as sparring partner to uncover improvement opportunities
• To support decisions, you will be responsible for providing ad-hoc analyses and assessing local investment initiatives to determine their potential impact and feasibility
• You will serve as the primary contact for the national finance organisation and act as an interface between the country and wider Group Controlling, fostering effective communication and collaboration
• You’ll ultimately support senior management in making informed decisions by translating complex data and reports into clear narratives, presenting them in engaging formats

Your profile

• You possess several years of working experience in Finance / Controlling / Accounting in an international corporate organisation
• You have completed a degree in business administration, economics or finance
• Your work experience in the (grocery) retail industry is a plus
• You bring specialised qualifications or working experience in SAP FI / CO, SAP BW
• You feel confident with BI tools and the usage of dashboards, queries etc.
• Strong analytical skills with a passion to identifying the drivers behind numbers and combining quantitative data with qualitative information belong to your core competencies
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, ability to engage with stakeholders at various levels are a matter of course to you
• You have a desire to work in dynamic environments and enjoy collaborating with international stakeholders
• You’re business-fluent in English

Remuneration

Gross annual salary starting from € 62.500*
