Zusammenfassung

OSCE Secretariat in Vienna seeks a Counter-Terrorism Officer on secondment to advance the unit’s objectives, monitor anti-terrorism developments, and propose policy and project actions. You will engage with national authorities, external experts and other OSCE bodies.

The role requires a first-level degree in related fields, seven years of experience in political affairs with emphasis on human rights, and fluent English.

Qualifikationen

  • First-level university degree in international relations, political science, criminology, international law, human rights, terrorism studies, security studies or a closely related field.
  • Seven years of progressively responsible experience in political affairs with a focus on human rights (five years with a relevant second-level degree).
  • Fluent English with excellent written and oral communication; working knowledge of another OSCE region language is an asset.
  • Gender awareness and ability to integrate gender perspectives into tasks and activities.

Aufgaben

  • Participate in conception, development, implementation and evaluation of counter-terrorism programmes and projects; monitor progress and propose corrective actions.
  • Liaise with national authorities, external experts and OSCE bodies; identify gaps and track follow-up actions.
  • Manage a portfolio with focus on human rights, rule of law and gender perspectives; disseminate best practices within OSCE.
  • Represent TNTD/ATU in counter-terrorism activities with other organizations and partners; coordinate across OSCE institutions and field operations.
  • Provide guidance to fund managers and ensure coordination to achieve CT goals.
