Qualifikationen

Aufgaben

• Provide day-to-day commercial support to onsite delivery teams.
• Support contract administration, notices, change tracking and variations.
• Assist with assessments and commercial positioning for compensation events and contract changes.
• Support procurement activities, tender comparisons, scope clarifications and orders.
• Manage subcontractor valuations, payment processing, variation agreements and final accounts.
• Prepare weekly and monthly cost reports, forecasts and cost-to-complete updates.
• Maintain risk and opportunity registers and governance records for commercial recovery.
• Collaborate with planning and site teams to align valuations and earned value reporting.

Our client, a global mission-critical and major projects delivery organisation, is seeking a Commercial Manager to support a large-scale programme based primarily onsite in Linz, Austria. This permanent opportunity will suit a commercial professional with experience in construction, engineering, procurement, supply chain or complex project delivery environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing day-to-day commercial support to the onsite delivery team across defined packages and workstreams
• Supporting contract administration, including commercial correspondence, notices, change tracking and variations
• Assisting with assessments and commercial positioning for compensation events and other contract changes
• Supporting procurement activities, including tender comparisons, scope clarifications and order placement
• Managing subcontractor valuations, payment processing, variation agreements and final account activities
• Preparing weekly and monthly cost reports, forecasts and cost-to-complete updates
• Maintaining risk and opportunity registers, governance records and documentation to support commercial recovery
• Working closely with planning and site teams to align progress, valuations and earned value reporting

Job Requirements:

• Commercial experience within construction, engineering or major project delivery
• Experience in contract administration, commercial management and change control
• Knowledge of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts is preferred, although strong experience with contract administration will also be considered
• Understanding of procurement, subcontract management, valuations, variations and final accounts
• Strong commercial reporting, forecasting and cost control skills
• Ability to maintain accurate records and support effective dispute avoidance
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-tempo onsite environment
• Willingness to work a 10/4 rotation from the UK, Ireland, Spain or the Netherlands, where applicable; local applicants will also be considered

Desirable Experience:

• Exposure to mission-critical, industrial or large capital expenditure projects
• Experience working with international project teams and supply chain partners
• EU passport or EU right-to-work status, where applicable
