Job summary

ISG Personalmanagement GmbH is assisting an established international importer and distributor of technical consumer goods in Austria to recruit a CFO. The role partners with the CEO and acts as the main financial interface to the Investor Board, leading an 8-person finance team with full P&L, balance sheet, and working capital accountability across the DACH entities.

• Must be fluent in German and English (both mandatory).
• Proven experience as CFO, Finance Director or Head of Finance in PE-backed or investor-owned companies.
• Experience in post-restructuring environments and working capital reduction.

Our client is an established international importer and distributor of technical consumer goods and durable products across Europe, operating in international markets. Following a successful corporate restructuring, the group is backed by an international investment firm providing strong equity and strategic backing for its next expansion phase.

Role Overview

As CFO, you will act as a key commercial partner to the CEO and serve as the main financial interface to the Investor Board. You will lead an 8-person finance team with full P&L, balance sheet, and working capital accountability across the core DACH entities.

Key Responsibilities

• Investor Reporting & Governance: Direct financial reporting, rolling cash forecasts, and KPI tracking for the Investor Board (UGB / IFRS).
• Working Capital & Cash Optimization: Implement strict inventory turnover controls, stock financing, and medium-to-long-term liquidity management.
• Systems & Processes: Drive financial process automation, fast-close procedures, and BI dashboards.
• Team Leadership: Structure and mentor the 8-person finance, controlling, and treasury team.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience as CFO, Finance Director, or Head of Finance in mid-sized, PE-backed, or investor-owned companies.
• Solid track record in post-restructuring environments, working capital reduction, and cash preservation.
• Background in wholesale, international distribution, or technical/durable goods.
• Resident or willing to commute daily to the Lower Austria.
• Native/Fluent German and professional English (both mandatory).
