The annual salary for this full-time position is at least EUR 70,000. Depending on qualifications and experience, we are expressly willing to offer a higher salary.
As Senior Group Controller, you will have end-to-end responsibility for our consolidated financial statements and group reporting, and act as a sparring partner to the CFO, to whom you will report directly. You will be part of a four-person Group Finance team and work closely with around ten local controllers at company level. You will work independently, with a high standard of accuracy, and play an active role in our M&A agenda.
Responsibility for monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements at Group level, including the consolidation of all subsidiaries (Lux GAAP and UGB)
Preparation of reporting packages for management, shareholders and banks
Analysis of the performance of the Group and its companies - trends in turnover, margins, costs and earnings - including clear recommendations for action
Support with M&A activities: financial due diligence, purchase price allocation and the integration of acquired companies into our Group reporting and controlling standards
Continuous development and harmonisation of financial statement, reporting and controlling processes within a heterogeneous ERP landscape (BMD at holding company level)
Use of AI and automation tools to make reporting and analysis faster, more accurate and more scalable
Close collaboration with local finance teams in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Denmark and the Czech Republic, as well as with auditors and tax advisers
A degree with a specialisation in finance, accounting or controlling - or an equivalent qualification, such as that of a chartered accountant
Several years' relevant experience in group accounting, controlling or auditing, ideally in an international or private equity-financed environment
In-depth knowledge of consolidation and financial statement preparation processes
Knowledge of accounting in accordance with UGB and Lux GAAP is an advantage
Experience with BMD as Group ERP software is an advantage
Excellent Excel skills and confidence in working with heterogeneous ERP systems
Practical experience with AI tools in the finance sector is particularly welcome - we are actively integrating this into our working methods
A precise, structured and reliable approach to work with a high degree of independence
Business-fluent in German and English
