Hilti Austria Ges.m.b.H. seeks an accomplished CFO to join the Executive Management Team and shape strategic financial decisions across our international network.

You will lead forecasting, performance management, governance, and risk, while developing a high-performing finance function and driving cross-market initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance or related field.
• Proven experience leading finance teams in international environments.
• Strong track record in FP&A, accounting, tax, treasury, risk and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own financial steering, forecasting, investment prioritization and value creation.
• Lead and develop a high-performing finance organization.
• Oversee FP&A, accounting, tax, treasury, risk, compliance, procurement and customer care.
• Drive digitalization, automation and cross-functional transformation initiatives.
• Serve as main contact for auditors, banks, tax advisors and external partners.
• Ensure governance, risk management, and business agility.
• Lead cross-market projects and strategic initiatives to improve performance.
• Mentor and develop future finance talent and succession pipelines.
• Collaborate with Hilti finance colleagues to share best practices and shape the function's future.

This role offers the opportunity to think beyond a local market perspective. You will work closely with senior leaders across our international finance network, contribute to cross‑market initiatives, and gain broad exposure to strategic topics that extend far beyond Austria.

What You'll Do

• Own the company's financial steering and performance management processes, including forecasting, investment prioritization, and value creation initiatives.
• Lead and develop a high‑performing organization, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous growth.
• Oversee a broad portfolio spanning FP&A, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Risk Management, Compliance, Procurement, Customer Care, and operational support functions.
• Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement, digitalization, automation, and cross‑functional transformation initiatives.
• Act as the key point of contact for auditors, banks, tax advisors, legal partners, and other external stakeholders.
• Ensure strong governance, compliance, and risk management while enabling business agility and sustainable growth.
• Lead company‑wide projects and strategic initiatives that enhance business performance and organizational effectiveness.
• Develop future finance talent and strengthen the succession pipeline through coaching, mentoring, and people development.
• Collaborate with finance colleagues across Hilti to share best practices, contribute to strategic initiatives, and help shape the future of the Finance function.

What You’ll Need To Bring With You

• A Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
• Strong experience in finance leadership, controlling, and accounting within an international environment, ideally also corporate finance, auditing, or consulting
• Proven track record in financial planning, performance management, and strategic business partnering
• Experience leading and developing high‑performing teams
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across multiple organizational levels
• An entrepreneurial mindset and the courage to challenge the status quo
• Fluent English and German communication skills
• The ambition and flexibility to pursue a global career path in the future
