Job summary

Bitpanda is seeking an Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) Compliance Associate in Vienna to build intelligent AFC dashboards and scalable risk controls. You will join cross-functional teams to drive automation and data-driven compliance improvements across Europe.

The role combines regulatory risk with data engineering, requiring strong SQL, dashboarding skills, and experience with AI workflows. Hybrid work and generous benefits support your focus on impact.

Qualifications

• Educational background in data analytics, business informatics, CS, finance, economics or law.
• Strong SQL skills (Snowflake) and dashboarding tools (Tableau/PowerBI/Metabase).
• Experience with process automation (Python, APIs, low-code) and AI agents/LLM workflows.
• Familiarity with AML/CTF, sanctions, and transaction monitoring concepts under EU/Austrian regs.
• Excellent English; German is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain AFC compliance dashboards and monitoring tools for stakeholders.
• Test and validate AFC controls; identify gaps and improve coverage.
• Automate workflows and integrate AI agents to streamline investigations.
• Query large financial datasets to extract risk insights and detect patterns.
• Translate regulatory requirements into technical specs with other teams.
