Job summary

Erste Group Bank AG is seeking a tech-savvy Compliance professional to drive AFC IT tools and data-driven process improvements across Erste Group. You will work with IT and business units from different countries to design and implement practical AFC solutions that fight financial crime.

The role emphasizes process design, digitalization, and opportunities to apply automation and AI within a dynamic, international environment. Fluency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Completed university or university of applied sciences degree, ideally in IT, business informatics, business administration or a related field.
• First professional experience in an IT-related environment with understanding of databases and IT applications.
• Analytical mindset with interest in process design, optimization and digitalization.
• Proactive, hands-on attitude with ability to collaborate across stakeholders.
• Fluent English; German/CEE language a plus.

Our Group AFC Tools & Correspondent Banking Compliance team is part of Group Compliance and drives the development and optimization of Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) IT-tools and processes across Erste Group. We are looking for a tech-savvy, curious colleague who enjoys working with data, improving processes and collaborating with users and IT to develop practical solutions to fight against Financial Crime.

Your Tasks

• Process Design & Optimization: Analyze, design and harmonize AFC processes across Erste Group, identifying opportunities for standardization and efficiency improvements.
• Business & IT Collaboration: Work closely with IT and relevant business units also from different countries to translate functional requirements into technical solutions and support their implementation.
• Tools & Data: Contribute to the further development and optimization of AFC tools and applications, working with databases and data-driven solutions.
• Project Ownership: Take responsibility for process improvement and digitalization initiatives, from identifying opportunities to implementing practical solutions.
• Automation & AI: Explore opportunities to automate workflows and contribute to the implementation of innovative solutions, including the potential use of AI agents.

Your Background

• Education: Completed university or university of applied sciences degree, ideally in IT, Business Informatics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Know-how: First professional experience in an IT-related environment, with a good understanding of databases, data structures and IT applications. Experience in the area of fighting Fraud, Sanctions or Money Laundering would be of advantage.
• Analytical & Process Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with an interest in process design, optimization and digitalization.
• Mindset & Collaboration: A proactive, hands-on approach, willingness to learn and ability to work with different stakeholders. Previous experience in Compliance or banking is an advantage, but not a must.
• Languages: Fluent English skills are essential; German and/or any CEE language are an advantage.

• For this position, we offer a gross annual salary starting at 50,200.00 Euro (full-time, including overtime allowance). Your actual salary will be based on your qualifications, experience, and individual fit for the role.
