ecosio GmbH is a fast-growing provider of B2B integration in Austria, offering remote-friendly roles and flexible working arrangements. The role focuses on accurate financial record-keeping, compliance, and contributing to monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities across AR, AP, GL, and statutory reporting.

The successful candidate will bring 2–5 years of accounting experience, a commercial degree, and proficiency in German and English at C1 level, with familiarity in BMD or Workday

Qualifications

• Completed commercial graduation (HAK/Bachelor/Master’s).
• At least 2-5 years experience in accounting.
• Accountant certificate advantageous.
• Sense for numbers and analytical thinking.
• Ability to work in a team and under tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of BMD and/or Workday are an advantage.
• Minimum C1 level in German and English

Responsabilités

• Financial record management across AR, AP, FA, GL, expenses, payroll-related accounting.
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closings and intercompany accounting.
• Assist with VAT, tax filings, and statutory financial statements.
• Ensure internal controls and SOX-related processes are documented and improved.
• Assist in annual financial statements and audits.

Job Description

• Financial Record Management: Managing, analysing, and maintaining accurate financial records and transactions across accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), fixed assets (FA), general ledger (GL), employee expenses, travel, and payroll-related accounting. This includes processing incoming and outgoing invoices, monitoring payments and receivables, and ensuring transactions are correctly recorded and documented.
• Reconciling Accounts: Preparing and maintaining regular balance sheet reconciliations, including bank, credit card, payroll, intercompany, and other relevant accounts. Investigating discrepancies and ensuring open items are resolved accurately and on time.
• Managing Closings: Supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, including account reconciliations, accruals, intercompany accounting, and other closing-related tasks to ensure complete, accurate, and timely financial reporting..
• External & Statutory Reporting: Supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory and regulatory requirements, including VAT and tax-related filings, statutory financial statements, and reports to national banks, statistical offices, and other relevant authorities. Coordinating with external accounting, payroll, and tax advisors where required.
• Regulatory Compliance & Controls: Ensuring accounting activities and financial reporting comply with applicable local GAAP requirements, internal policies, and US GAAP reporting requirements. Performing and documenting assigned internal controls, including SOX controls, and supporting the continuous improvement of accounting processes and controls.
• Year-End Audit & Financial Statements: Supporting the preparation of annual financial statements and collaborating with external and internal auditors by preparing required financial information, documentation, reconciliations, and audit evidence.

The minimum salary for this position in Austria is 50 000€ / year. Your actual salary will be determined by your experience and location.
