Job summary

Balmung Medical in Tirol, Austria, seeks an experienced accountant to manage day-to-day bookkeeping, account receivable/payable, bank and general ledger tasks, and the preparation of annual financial statements, with a focus on accuracy and structure. You will work closely with interfaces, support audits, drive process improvements, and assist digitization of accounting workflows.

Qualifications

• Several years of accounting experience, ideally with financial reporting.
• An in-depth knowledge of day-to-day bookkeeping and annual financial statements.
• Independent, precise, and structured approach to work.
• Analytical thinking and strong aptitude for numbers.
• Ability to work in a team with good communication and responsibility.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
• Good written and spoken German and English.

Responsibilities

• Independently handle day-to-day accounting tasks (accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank, general ledger).
• Preparation of Annual Financial Statements.
• Reconciliation of Intercompany Transactions.
• Reconciling Accounts and processing accruals and deferrals.
• Filing of advance sales tax returns and other tax returns.
• Maintenance of Fixed Asset Accounting.
• Participation in internal and external audits.
• Further development of accounting processes and quality assurance.
• Close collaboration with interfaces.
• Support for digitization and automation of accounting processes.
