Job summary

ecosio GmbH, a leading provider of B2B integration solutions, seeks an experienced Accountant to manage AR/AP/GL, bank reconciliations, and monthly closings. This role supports VAT/tax filings and statutory reporting, ensuring GAAP compliance and strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Completed commercial graduation (HAK/Bachelor/Master’s degree).
• 2–5 years of accounting experience.
• Accountant certificate advantageous.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
• Team player with ability to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of BMD and/or Workday is a plus.
• German language skills are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Financial record management across AR, AP, FA, GL, payroll accounting; process invoices and monitor payments.
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations incl. intercompany.
• Support monthly/quarterly/annual closings and accruals.
• Assist with VAT/tax filings and statutory reporting.
• Ensure local GAAP compliance and SOX controls.
• Support year-end audit with documentation and evidence.

Job Description

• Financial Record Management: Managing, analysing, and maintaining accurate financial records and transactions across accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), fixed assets (FA), general ledger (GL), employee expenses, travel, and payroll-related accounting. This includes processing incoming and outgoing invoices, monitoring payments and receivables, and ensuring transactions are correctly recorded and documented.
• Reconciling Accounts: Preparing and maintaining regular balance sheet reconciliations, including bank, credit card, payroll, intercompany, and other relevant accounts. Investigating discrepancies and ensuring open items are resolved accurately and on time.
• Managing Closings: Supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, including account reconciliations, accruals, intercompany accounting, and other closing-related tasks to ensure complete, accurate, and timely financial reporting.
• External & Statutory Reporting: Supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory and regulatory requirements, including VAT and tax-related filings, statutory financial statements, and reports to national banks, statistical offices, and other relevant authorities. Coordinating with external accounting, payroll, and tax advisors where required.
• Regulatory Compliance & Controls: Ensuring accounting activities and financial reporting comply with applicable local GAAP requirements, internal policies, and US GAAP reporting requirements. Performing and documenting assigned internal controls, including SOX controls, and supporting the continuous improvement of accounting processes and controls.
• Year-End Audit & Financial Statements: Supporting the preparation of annual financial statements and collaborating with external and internal auditors by preparing required financial information, documentation, reconciliations, and audit evidence.

The minimum salary for this position in Austria is 50 000€ / year. Your actual salary will be determined by your experience and location.
