Job summary

Chevron is seeking a leader for Property Accounting supporting US Offshore operations. The role requires guiding a team, ensuring accurate capital expenditures accounting, asset additions, transfers, retirements, impairments, and depreciation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 8–10 years of accounting and finance experience with leadership.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience with SAP and/or S/4HANA environments.
• Advanced English proficiency, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Property Accounting professionals.
• Oversee month-, quarter-, and year-end close activities.
• Maintain compliance with Chevron policies, SOX controls, and financial reporting.
• Drive process standardization and continuous improvement across Property Accounting.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Controllers, and Finance to resolve complex accounting issues.
• Ensure timely reconciliations and resolution of items.
• Support acquisitions, integrations, and organizational changes impacting Property Accounting.
• Identify automation opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and control.
• Provide leadership in internal and external audit support.
• Develop team members through coaching and performance management.
