Weir MOTION METRICS™ seeks a Technical Services Lead in San Juan, Argentina (Hybrid). You will lead field service activities, conduct technical training, and ensure high-quality customer service in mining operations.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Engineering and at least three years of mining industry experience. Strong command of English and knowledge of cloud computing and operating systems are preferred.

• Minimum of three years of experience in the mining industry or heavy mining equipment as a Field Support or Maintenance Lead.
• Good command of English, both written and conversational.
• Knowledge of Windows & Linux OS, networking and communication systems is an asset.

Purpose of Role

The position plays a key role in ensuring high quality customer service, supporting all field activities, and overseeing deployment and maintenance planning in alignment with established standards. This position requires hands‑on participation in installation and maintenance projects across Argentina, as well as providing technical training and essential administrative support. The Field Services Lead serves both as a role model and an administrative for the Regional Field Service Team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Regional Field Services Technicians of Motion Metrics, schedule and supervise field service activities in Argentina.
• Conduct technical training sessions for diverse audiences – customers and internal teams – tailored to varying levels of expertise.
• In conjunction with Global teams, tailor and implement Field Service programs to enhance operational efficiency, standardize processes, and support organizational growth in the region.
• Track program performance, analyze data, and provide actionable insights to improve effectiveness, resolve challenges, and ensure scalability.
• Demonstrate 100% commitment to zero harm behaviors in support of developing a world‑class safety culture.

Job Knowledge, Education, and Qualifications

• Preferred: Degree in Engineering in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical or Electronics. Minimum of three years of experience in the mining industry or working with heavy mining equipment as a Field Support or Maintenance Lead is a plus.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.
• Good command of English, both written and conversational.
• Knowledge of Cloud computing, Windows & Linux OS, networking and communication systems would be an asset.
