A global manufacturer of industrial fluid-transfer solutions is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to develop sales of hydraulic fracturing hoses, large-diameter TPU hoses, and related services in Argentina's Vaca Muerta shale region.
About the Role
The role will focus on new business development, strategic account management, technical-commercial coordination, and local market intelligence. The successful candidate will work closely with the Company's international headquarters and technical teams while identifying growth opportunities across South America.
Responsibilities
- Develop sales of hydraulic fracturing hoses, large-diameter TPU hoses, and related services in Argentina.
- Identify, qualify, and acquire target customers in the Vaca Muerta shale region, particularly in Neuquén Province.
- Build and strengthen relationships with operators, oilfield service companies, water-management providers, distributors, EPC contractors, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Manage the full sales cycle, including opportunity qualification, technical clarification, quotations, commercial negotiations, contract execution, order coordination, delivery, and payment collection.
- Understand customer operating conditions and recommend suitable product and service solutions in coordination with the Company's technical team.
- Coordinate localized product training, technical support, field assistance, and after-sales service.
- Monitor market trends, customer requirements, procurement practices, applicable industry standards, and competitor activity.
- Prepare regular sales forecasts, opportunity updates, customer feedback summaries, and market intelligence reports for management.
- Represent the Company at industry exhibitions, technical seminars, customer meetings, and relevant business events.
- Identify opportunities for hydraulic fracturing hoses and large-diameter TPU hoses in other South American markets.
- Maintain accurate customer, opportunity, and sales activity records in accordance with Company procedures.
- Conduct all business activities in compliance with applicable laws, Company policies, anti-bribery requirements, trade controls, and fair-competition standards.
Qualifications
- Legally authorized to work in Argentina without requiring employer sponsorship.
- Currently based in Neuquén Province or willing and able to relocate to the region.
- Professional fluency in Spanish and business-level English, with the ability to communicate effectively with international teams.
- Bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering, mechanical engineering, business administration, or a related discipline.
- At least five years of sales or business-development experience in the oil and gas, water-management, industrial equipment, or related service sectors.
- At least three years of relevant commercial experience in the Argentine market.
- Practical knowledge of local procurement processes, tendering procedures, commercial practices, and applicable industry standards.
- Demonstrated ability to develop new accounts and independently manage complex, long-cycle sales opportunities.
- Strong technical-commercial communication, negotiation, presentation, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel within Argentina and, when required, elsewhere in South America.
- Valid driving licence and ability to visit customer and field locations, subject to applicable safety requirements.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with hydraulic fracturing operations, layflat hoses, TPU hoses, water-transfer systems, or related oilfield equipment.
- Established professional relationships within the Vaca Muerta oil and gas ecosystem.
- Experience working with international manufacturers or geographically distributed teams.
