Orica is seeking a Team Leader - Open Cut to lead a on-site team delivering bulk explosive services safely and efficiently. You will work closely with Bench Assistants, MMU Operators, Shotfirers and Site Supervisors, managing loading, tying and firing blasts while ensuring environmental stewardship and compliance.

Role requires either a tertiary/technical qualification or substantial administrative experience, with familiarity in SAP, SF, Concur or related tools.

Formación

• Tertiary or technical qualification required.
• Up to 2 years post-qualification experience.
• Without formal qualifications: up to 10 years of administrative experience.
• Role dependent – technical &/or functional business system applications such as SAP, SF, Concur and analytics/visualisation tools.

Responsabilidades

• Lead a team in safe, environmentally conscious bulk explosive delivery, coordinating with Bench Assistants, MMU Operators, Shotfirers and Site Supervisor.
• Report all unusual incidents and accidents immediately.
• Participate in daily toolbox talks and monthly safety meetings.
• Undertake all required training for Operations, SHEC and site requirements.
• Maintain personal training records per the Orica training matrix.
• Ensure emergency equipment and First Aid kits are complete.
• Assist in managing audit actions.
• Minimise environmental impact through waste minimisation and proper handling of materials.
• Adhere to SDS-related storage and handling of dangerous goods.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and report variations in product specs.
• Assist client in achieving targets and maintaining production.
• Maintain professional relationships within Orica and with customers.
• Perform ancillary duties including relief at other locations.

What you will bring

With tertiary or technical qualification - up to 2 years experience post qualification.
Without formal qualifications - up to 10 years of administrative experience, or allocation of work to operators.

Role dependent - technical &/or functional business system applications required for tasks (e.g. SAP, SF, Concur, analytics/visualisation tools, engineering software, etc.)

Insert tertiary qualification required for role (e.g. Accountant must have a tertiary degree in an Accounting discipline, an Engineer must have a tertiary degree in an Engineering discipline)
