Job summary

Political Asylum Lawyers is seeking an Accounting & Finance Manager (Hands-on) to lead financial operations for the firm. You will manage accounting systems, billing, payroll, cash flow forecasting, financial reporting, and internal controls while ensuring compliance and timely decision-support.

You will work closely with leadership to prepare budgets, monitor cash, analyze revenue trends, and drive improvements in billing and collections.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage day-to-day financial operations including accounting, billing, A/R, A/P, payroll, trust accounting, and tax coordination.
• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements and key financial reports.
• Develop annual budgets and forecasts; provide variance analyses and business insights.
• Maintain forward-looking cash flow forecasts and monitor cash balances, bank accounts, and card activity.
• Improve billing processes, oversee client invoices, and manage collections and A/R aging.
