dLocal is seeking a Staff Engineer – Payments Performance to shape the evolution of a critical payments platform. You will collaborate with technology leaders and the product team to translate department goals into scalable Java solutions, and lead the technical architecture.

You will own performance optimization, implement event-driven architecture, conduct load tests, review code, and present detailed reports with recommendations.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or computer science.
• 7+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong knowledge of object‑oriented design principles and design patterns.
• Experience with Spring and Hibernate frameworks.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP preferred.
• Ability to write clean, efficient Java code.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with tech and product teams to translate goals into technical solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications.
• Lead architecture and design of Java projects for scalability.
• Create scalable architectures for Java applications.
• Optimize performance via code and DB query tuning.
