Job summary

Chevron Global Business Services (GBS) in Buenos Aires (Puerto Madero) is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer focused on Automation & Observability to design, implement, and operate reliability capabilities across OT/PCN environments. The role emphasizes improving system reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency through automation and observability.

You will partner with product owners, platform teams, and technical leads to define SLIs/SLOs, build scalable observability capabilities,

Qualifications

3+ years operating production systems with a strong focus on observability and reliability engineering.
Hands-on experience with SRE practices (SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, incident management).
Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps).
Experience integrating monitoring and operations with ServiceNow ITSM workflows.
Strong scripting skills in Python and/or PowerShell.
Experience working in complex or regulated environments, preferably OT/PCN.

Responsibilities

Define and implement SRE practices, including SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets, to improve service reliability.
Build and standardize observability capabilities across metrics, logs, and traces, including dashboards and alerting strategies.
Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and postmortems to drive continuous improvement.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) to automate deployment, validation, and operational workflows.
Integrate monitoring and observability signals with ServiceNow ITSM (incidents, changes, indicator tasks).
