Proofpoint is seeking a Software Engineer II for its Unified Detection team in Córdoba, Argentina. You will build and deploy large-scale threat detection services that power Proofpoint’s cybersecurity offerings across email, cloud, and SaaS environments.

You will contribute to moderately complex features, write clean code, and take ownership of components while working with a collaborative, globally distributed team. This role emphasizes secure coding, testing, and growth mindset.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of software development experience in Python, Go, or Java.
• Experience with observability/monitoring tools (Grafana, Kibana) is preferred.
• Understanding of distributed systems, cloud environments (AWS), and containerized workloads (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, secure coding practices, and automated testing.

The Role

Proofpoint is looking for a Software Engineer II to join our Unified Detection team, working on building and deploying large-scale threat detection services. Our team employs cutting-edge technology to detect, analyze, and produce intelligence on the latest threats from sophisticated cyber threat actors. Our detection services are foundational components leveraged across Proofpoint's cybersecurity product offerings to protect customers from threats delivered through email, social media, and SaaS applications.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems (or equivalent practical experience).
• 2+ years of experience developing software, with growing proficiency in Python, Go, or Java.
• Experience with observability or monitoring tools (Grafana, Kibana, or similar), preferred.
• Developing understanding of distributed systems, cloud environments (AWS or similar), and containerized workloads (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, secure coding foundations, and automated testing practices.
• Curiosity about cybersecurity, malware analysis, or threat detection is a bonus.
