Proofpoint is seeking a Software Engineer II to join the Unified Detection team in Córdoba, Argentina. You will develop and deploy large-scale threat detection services, write clean, well-tested code, and own features within a fast-paced engineering culture.

You'll work on distributed systems, cloud environments, and containerized workloads, collaborating with teammates. A Bachelor's degree in CS or IS and 2+ years' software experience are expected, with a passion for cybersecurity and threat

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems (or equivalent practical experience).
• 2+ years of software development experience with proficiency in Python, Go, or Java.
• Experience with observability or monitoring tools such as Grafana or Kibana.
• Experience with distributed systems, cloud environments (AWS or similar), and containerized workloads (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, secure coding, and automated testing.
• Interest in cybersecurity, malware analysis, or threat detection is a bonus.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute to moderately complex features and components, ensuring integration with the larger detection system.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Begin taking ownership of smaller features or components, ensuring quality through testing.
• Work with minimal supervision on routine tasks, and proactively seek guidance when facing unfamiliar challenges.
• Anticipate potential blockers, communicate risks early, and collaborate with the team to address them within established timelines.
• Collaborate well with teammates - listen actively, incorporate feedback, and contribute constructively to reviews and discussions.
