AgileEngine (an Inc. 5000 company) is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to operate and improve a Kubernetes-based API platform across public and private clouds, including automation, tooling, and incident management.

You will own operations, observability, incident response, client onboarding, and platform automation. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in production Kubernetes, strong Linux skills, experience with Azure or AWS, and upper-intermediate English.

Qualifications

• Experience debugging and troubleshooting complex systems end-to-end
• Experience with a public cloud provider (Azure or AWS)
• Upper-intermediate English level
• Hands-on experience of at least 4 years operating Kubernetes in production, ideally with Service Mesh.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the Kubernetes based platform across public and private clouds
• Work with observability tooling to ensure actionable alerts and up-to-date runbooks
• Manage incidents from end-to-end including RCA and post-incident reviews
• Onboard and support new clients onto the platform
• Build automation and diagnostic tooling to reduce manual effort and improve performance
• Identify and deliver process improvements
• Support software and hardware upgrades and keep components up to date
• Proactively manage capacity to scale with demand

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to operate and improve a Kubernetes-based API platform across public and private cloud environments, including automation, tooling, and incident management.

MUST HAVES

• 4+ years of hands-on experience operating Kubernetes in production , ideally with Service Mesh.
• Strong Linux and command line fundamentals .
• Confident debugging and troubleshooting complex systems, from the application layer through to lower-level infrastructure.
• Experience working with a public cloud provider, preferably Azure or AWS .
• Upper-intermediate English level.
• Hands-on experience of at least 4 years operating Kubernetes in production, ideally with Service Mesh.

NICE TO HAVES

• Working knowledge of Grafana, Prometheus, Loki and Tempo is a plus.
• Scripting or coding in Python or Java is a strong plus.
• CI/CD, infrastructure as code such as Helm or Terraform is a plus.
• Financial services background is not required.
