Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to operate and improve a Kubernetes-based API platform across public and private cloud environments.

You will handle automation, observability, incident management, and onboarding of new clients while driving capacity planning and platform improvements. This role offers flextime with remote and office options and a competitive USD-based compensation package.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on Kubernetes production experience.
• Strong Linux and CLI fundamentals.
• Experience with public cloud providers, preferably AWS or Azure.
• Upper-intermediate English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the Kubernetes-based platform across cloud environments.
• Use observability tooling to ensure actionable alerts with up-to-date runbooks.
• Manage incidents end-to-end, including root-cause analysis and post-incident reviews.
• Onboard and support new clients on the platform.
• Build automation and diagnostic tooling to reduce manual effort.
• Identify and deliver process improvements.
• Support software and hardware upgrades and keep components up to date.
• Proactively manage capacity to scale the platform with demand.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to operate and improve a Kubernetes-based API platform across public and private cloud environments, including automation, tooling, and incident management.

MUST HAVES

• 4+ years of hands-on experience operating Kubernetes in production , ideally with Service Mesh.
• Strong Linux and command line fundamentals .
• Confident debugging and troubleshooting complex systems, from the application layer through to lower-level infrastructure.
• Experience working with a public cloud provider, preferably Azure or AWS .
• Upper-intermediate English level.
• Hands-on experience of at least 4 years operating Kubernetes in production, ideally with Service Mesh.

NICE TO HAVES

• Working knowledge of Grafana, Prometheus, Loki and Tempo is a plus.
• Scripting or coding in Python or Java is a strong plus.
• CI/CD, infrastructure as code such as Helm or Terraform is a plus.
• Financial services background is not required.
