Job summary

OnHires is seeking a Senior Video Editor for a fully remote role serving North American universities. You will edit and optimize video content for ads, brand storytelling, and digital campaigns, collaborating with designers and strategists to ensure top-notch quality across YouTube, social media, and paid media campaigns.

You’ll stay current with editing techniques, manage assets, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining strong storytelling and platform-specific best practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional video editing experience in an agency, media production, or marketing setting.
• Advanced skills in Adobe Premiere Pro; working knowledge of After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Experience editing content for ads, marketing, or corporate communications.
• Strong storytelling ability with pacing, audience engagement, and visual impact.
• Familiarity with motion graphics (text animations, lower thirds, transitions).
• Technical knowledge of color grading, sound design, and video formatting for social media, web, and broadcast.
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Fluent English communication with the ability to collaborate with U.S.-based teams.
• Experience optimizing video content for multiple platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook).

Responsibilities

• Edit and assemble video content for ads, social media, YouTube, and digital campaigns.
• Enhance video quality through color correction, sound design, and smooth transitions.
• Integrate motion graphics and simple animations to improve engagement.
• Optimize videos for different platforms with correct aspect ratios, pacing, subtitles, and thumbnails.

• Ensure timely delivery of final assets through review steps.
