Dev.Pro is hiring a Senior Test Engineer to join our remote-first Latin America team. You will contribute to a cloud-based restaurant POS platform, performing both manual and automated testing, validating real-world workflows, and collaborating with engineers and product teams.

You’ll work with modern tech like JavaScript/TypeScript, WebdriverIO, API testing, CI/CD, and Docker, in a long-term, mature project with a global client base.

Formación

• 5+ years of hands-on testing, both manual and automated.
• Strong knowledge of software testing principles and best practices.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with WebdriverIO.
• API/integration testing (REST/GraphQL) using Postman; REST/HTTP fundamentals.
• CI/CD integration for automated tests.
• Testing web and mobile interfaces; cross-browser/platform testing.
• Analytical, debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Upper-Intermediate English level.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with engineering to ensure quality of a cloud-based POS platform.
• Perform Day-in-the-Life testing to validate real-world workflows.
• Prepare and maintain test environments and configurations.
• Conduct manual functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Develop and maintain automated end-to-end, API, and integration tests.
• Monitor test execution, investigate failures, and track reliability metrics.
• Work with developers to reproduce and track defects.
• Contribute to QA reporting and metrics.
• Clarify acceptance criteria and participate in test reviews.
• Help improve testing practices and product quality.

We invite a Senior Test Engineer to join our dynamic team working on a well-established cloud-based restaurant POS platform used by thousands of U.S. businesses. In this role, you’ll contribute to both manual and automated testing efforts, validate real-world customer workflows through Day-in-the-Life testing, and collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, Product teams, and Team Leads to ensure product quality.

Is that you?

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing
• Strong knowledge of software testing principles and best practices
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Hands-on experience with WebdriverIO
• Experience with API and integration testing (REST/GraphQL) using tools such as Postman, and a solid understanding of REST principles and HTTP methods
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Experience testing web and mobile interfaces
• Understanding of cross-browser and cross-platform testing
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Upper-Intermediate English level

Desirable:

• Experience with React-based web applications
• Experience with additional automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber, or Appium
• Familiarity with containerized test environments (Docker)
• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms
• Experience with FinTech or payment systems
• Experience working with U.S.-based or international clients

Key responsibilities and your contribution

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the engineering team to ensure the quality and reliability of a mature cloud-based restaurant POS platform.

• Perform Day-in-the-Life testing to validate real-world customer workflows
• Prepare and maintain client configurations and test environments
• Perform manual functional, integration, and regression testing
• Develop and maintain automated end-to-end, API, and integration tests
• Monitor manual and automated test execution, investigate failures, and track test reliability metrics
• Work closely with developers to identify, reproduce, document, and track defects
• Collect testing metrics and contribute to QA reporting
• Collaborate with the team to clarify acceptance criteria, support early testing, and participate in test code reviews
• Help improve testing practices and overall product quality
