Job summary

Digital Executive is seeking a full-time Senior Tax Accountant to prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses, owning client relationships throughout the process and ensuring accuracy and compliance.

This fully remote role requires English fluency, detailed tax knowledge, and collaboration with the tax team using ProConnect, Canopy, DocuSign, and QuickBooks. Hours are 9am-5pm EST, Monday-Friday.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional accounting experience with individual and business tax returns.
• Experience preparing and reviewing both individual and business tax returns.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state taxation.
• Experience with partnerships and S corporations and K-1s.
• Experience with ProConnect, Canopy, DocuSign and QuickBooks.
• Strong tax research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and quality control.
• Excellent client communication.
• Ability to meet filing deadlines during tax season.
• Must own a working computer with high-speed internet.
• Must be ENGLISH-SPEAKING.

Responsibilities

• Prepare basic and complex federal and state returns for individuals and entities.
• Review returns prepared by others for accuracy and compliance.
• Resolve tax issues and ensure returns are ready to file.
• Communicate with clients about missing information, deadlines, balances due, and return status.
• Coordinate the preparation and filing of elections, responses, returns, and other documents not filed electronically.
• Provide input on pricing for complex returns and engagements.
