Sovos is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to lead the performance, security, and availability of our enterprise database environments. You will help keep mission-critical SaaS applications running at their best across multi-country deployments.

You will monitor performance, tune queries, and collaborate with engineers on schema changes while mentoring junior DBAs and driving adoption of best practices using AI-assisted tooling.

Formación

• Hands-on experience managing production database environments and resolving performance issues.
• Strong proficiency with SQL Server environments and deep understanding of database internals.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Product and Tech teams and guide peers to adopt best practices.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as SME for critical database technologies, leading incident resolution and performance tuning.
• Monitor database performance and implement tuning solutions to optimize queries and throughput.
• Review query designs and schema changes with engineers to ensure efficiency and scalability.
• Lead patches, upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery testing with minimal downtime.
• Mentor junior DBAs and application teams in database best practices.
