Job summary

Sezzle is seeking a hands-on Senior Software Engineer, Security Platform, to design, build, and operate the services that discover, scan, triage and route security findings on a scalable platform. You will work with Go and Python on Kubernetes, delivering CI security gates and agentic workflows used across teams.

The role reports to the Director of Information Security and emphasizes fast delivery, low noise, and reliable platform performance for security tooling and triage automation.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Golang and Python.
• Hands-on experience with event-driven systems (NATS, Kafka).
• Experience building and operating CI/CD tooling at scale.
• Web application security knowledge and fix capabilities.
• Familiarity with SAST, SCA, and secret scanning tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate security services in Golang and Python on AWS/Kubernetes.
• Own the event-driven platform and its delivery guarantees.
• Integrate scanners, findings, tickets, and metrics end-to-end.
• Own delivery of SAST/SCA/secret/container/IaC scanning gates.
• Build agentic security workflows and automated triage/verification.
• Develop triage-to-remediation automation with actionable guidance.
• Participate in threat modeling and secure design reviews.
• Share on-call rotations for owned services.
