Avenga is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer (Manual/API Testing) to join our team focused on validating the Loyalty & Benefits module within the Banking & Financial Services domain. The role requires on-site presence three days a week in CABA, with a hybrid work arrangement.

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience with API testing using Postman.
• Experience designing and executing manual test cases with Xray and defect lifecycle in JIRA.
• Experience in Web and Mobile manual and integration testing.
• Knowledge of test automation fundamentals (Cucumber, Java, Appium, Katalon).
• Experience in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban) and exploratory testing (RST).
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specs to design and execute end-to-end manual test scenarios for the Loyalty module.
• Validate point accumulation, rule execution, and tier level transitions across incoming banking transactions.
• Perform REST API/service integration testing using Postman for endpoint contract consistency across web and mobile.
• Conduct functional testing and data verification within the Salesforce platform context.
• Document, execute, and update test cases in Xray, report defects in JIRA through resolution.
• Collaborate with QA Automation engineers to identify automation candidates and support script creation.
• Act as a quality advocate within the squad, participate in exploratory testing, refine test strategies, and drive quality improvements.

In the Banking & Financial Services industry, we are actively seeking a Senior Quality Engineering (Manual/API Testing) to join our team dedicated to testing and validating the bank's Loyalty & Benefits module. In this role, you will ensure software quality by verifying business rules, point accumulation, tier transitions, and API integration for web and mobile channels.

This position is hybrid and requires on-site work 3 times a week in CABA.

This is you

• Bachelor's degree or advanced student in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of Loyalty and Benefits programs, including point accumulation rules, transaction ingestion, and tier level changes.
• Proven experience in API testing using Postman (JSON payload inspection, REST services, contract validation, and response code verification).
• Solid experience designing, executing, and documenting manual test cases using Xray Test Management and managing defect lifecycles in JIRA.
• Strong knowledge of manual and integration testing across Web and Mobile applications.
• Understanding of test automation fundamentals (e.g., Cucumber, Java, Appium, Katalon) to support shift-left/shift-right collaboration with automation teams.
• Hands-on experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban) and performing exploratory testing (RST - Rapid Software Testing).
• Strong analytical skills, detail orientation, effective communication, and a proactive approach to root-cause analysis and problem-solving.

Nice-to-have skills:

• Hands-on experience testing on the Salesforce platform (preferably Loyalty or CRM modules).
• Previous domain experience in the banking or financial services industry.
• Basic understanding of microservices architecture and version control tools (e.g., Git).
• Familiarity with AI tools and innovations applied to testing and automation (e.g., Agentic AI, MCP).

This is your role
