Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Python Developer to join our dynamic team. You will lead technical initiatives, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and deliver scalable, high‑quality software for global clients.

You will work with Python and frameworks, design features, write and test code, and participate in agile ceremonies to ensure robust solutions that meet business needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience (Python).
• Strong proficiency in Python and frameworks (Django, Flask, FastAPI).
• Solid understanding of algorithms, design patterns, and software architecture principles.
• Proficiency with SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other major cloud providers (AWS, Azure).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools.
• Hands-on experience with Docker for containerization.
• Experience with Unit testing.
• B2 English level.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Write, test, and maintain high-quality Python code and related languages as needed.
• Design and implement new features based on project requirements.
• Conduct unit, integration, and functional testing to ensure software quality.
• Identify and resolve software bugs and performance issues.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for code, APIs, and systems.
• Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Ensure software solutions are scalable, efficient and aligned with industry best practices.

• Design and implement new features and functionalities based on project requirements
• Conduct unit, integration, and functional testing to ensure the reliability and quality of the software
• Identify and resolve software bugs and performance issues
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for code, APIs, and systems
• Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives
• Ensure that software solutions are scalable, efficient, and aligned with industry best practices
