Job summary

EPAM Systems in Argentina is seeking a Lead Python Engineer to design, build and maintain scalable backend services using Python and modern cloud platforms.

You will lead backend architecture, collaborate with DevOps, QA, and product teams, and own REST APIs, microservices, and data models while prioritizing security, performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Solid background in Python backend development.
• Familiarity with frameworks like FastAPI, Flask or Django.
• Practical experience using AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Proven track record building REST APIs and microservices.
• Sound knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Exposure to CI/CD, testing and modern software engineering practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

We are seeking a Lead Python Engineer who brings strong backend development expertise along with a solid grasp of cloud-native solutions. The right candidate will be capable of designing, building and maintaining scalable backend services through Python and modern cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Build backend services and APIs with Python
• Architect scalable cloud-based solutions and microservices
• Handle databases, queues, cloud services and integrations
• Partner with DevOps, QA, product and engineering teams
• Contribute to architecture discussions and technical decision-making
• Maintain code quality, security, performance and reliability
