Darwoft is seeking a Senior Python Backend Developer to join our remote, LATAM-based engineering teams. You will design and deliver production-grade APIs and backend services using Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and Docker.

You will influence API architecture, data modeling, performance, testing, and scalability while collaborating with product and engineering teams across distributed locations. This role offers strong ownership and a remote-first culture.

Formación

• 5+ years of Python software development.
• Experience building production REST APIs.
• Experience with FastAPI or Flask/Django.
• Strong PostgreSQL knowledge and data modeling.
• Experience with Docker and containerized environments.
• Ability to write automated tests.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and services using Python.
• Build robust RESTful APIs using FastAPI.
• Design and evolve backend architectures for complex workflows.
• Create and optimize PostgreSQL data models, schemas, and queries.
• Improve database performance and data-access optimization.
• Build and maintain containerized services with Docker.
• Develop integrations between internal services and external APIs.
• Collaborate with product, frontend, data, and engineering teams.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions.
• Write clean, modular, testable Python code.
• Implement unit and API testing strategies.
• Review code and contribute to engineering standards.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve reliability.
• Support CI/CD and modern delivery practices.
• Document APIs and technical decisions.
