Job summary

Bluelight is seeking an experienced backend-focused software engineer to join our rapidly growing team. You will contribute to high-quality applications, build low-latency API services in AWS, and collaborate across frontend and backend domains in a fast-paced consultancy environment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of experience with Node.js, TypeScript, AWS, and database-driven systems, including secure multi-tenant design and robust testing practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years professional software development experience (backend-focused).
• Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS.
• Experience building scalable RESTful APIs.
• Experience with SDK integrations to other services.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security (RLS).
• Experience building secure multi-tenant environments.
• Comfortable writing raw SQL and managing schema migrations (e.g., node-postgres).
• Professional experience with React.
• Strong testing practices including integration tests against real databases.
