Job summary

Bluelight is seeking a senior backend-focused software engineer to design and develop scalable, low-latency API services for clients across the Americas. You will contribute to full-stack efforts when needed and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced consultancy environment.

You should have 5+ years of experience with Node.js, TypeScript, AWS, and PostgreSQL, and a strong commitment to best practices, testing, and security.

Qualifications

• 5+ years backend-focused software development experience.
• Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS.
• Experience with scalable RESTful APIs and SDK integrations.
• PostgreSQL/AuroraDB with RLS and secure multi-tenant architectures.
• SQL writing and migrations (node-postgres, node-pg-migrate).
• Proficiency with React and end-to-end testing practices.
• Overlaps US business hours and excellent ownership.
