AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design and scale core infrastructure, including AWS and Kubernetes resources, with a focus on performance and security. The role emphasizes distributed systems and AI-native tooling across teams.

The ideal candidate will have strong API design skills, service mesh experience, and a track record of building scalable platform services in a fast-growing environment. Hybrid work options are available.

Qualifikationen

4+ years server development in Python or TypeScript.
3+ years API design and development (REST/gRPC).
2+ years AWS and Kubernetes experience, with service mesh exposure.
2+ years building advanced architectural components (service registry, streaming, event bus, distributed caching, polyglot persistence).
6+ months experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, or AIOps tooling.
6+ months of SDLC AI-native usage with Claude Code/Claude Cowork or similar.
Excellent communication, fast learner, ownership mindset.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to build and scale core infrastructure that supports rapid company growth. This person designs reliable platform services, manages cloud resources on AWS and Kubernetes, and works with service mesh technologies to keep systems performant and secure. Comfort with distributed architecture and AI-native development tooling rounds out the role.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable platform services to support company growth.
Measure, monitor, and optimize system performance, identifying bottlenecks and implementing infrastructure-level improvements.
Manage cloud resources and service boundaries, ensuring security and operational excellence.
Implement best practices, methodologies, and tools to optimize the development process and increase efficiency.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior leadership, to provide updates on project status, risks, and issues.

MUST HAVES

4+ years of server development in Python or TypeScript
3+ years of experience with API design and development, including REST/gRPC
2+ years of experience with AWS and Kubernetes , with experience in Service Mesh technologies such as Istio, Linkerd, Cilium, etc.
2+ years of experience building advanced architectural components , such as service registry, streaming, event bus, distributed caching, federated/polyglot persistence, etc.
6+ months of experience working with LLMs, prompt engineering, harness engineering, or AIOps tooling
6+ months of SDLC AI-native usage via Claude Code, Claude Cowork, or similar
Excellent communication skills, the ability to learn on the fly, and a desire for ownership.
