Job summary

EPAM Systems in Argentina is seeking a Senior Java Developer to own complex builds from concept to production. You will design and deliver Java/Spring Boot-based services, APIs, and distributed systems with a focus on accuracy, stability, and scalability.

The role requires leading architectural discussions, coordinating with cross-functional partners, and driving CI/CD practices. A hybrid schedule applies, with four days in the office weekly and strong English communication expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Java and Spring Boot experience.
• Proven API, microservice, and distributed system development experience.
• Strong knowledge of design principles, testing, performance optimization and reliability.
• Experience with SQL databases.
• Hands-on AWS or similar cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and Kafka.
• Good communication and English (B2+) skills for understanding business needs.
• Ability to lead technical projects end-to-end with ownership.

Responsibilities

• Structure, develop, and support Java and Spring Boot applications.
• Build robust, scalable APIs, microservices, and distributed components.
• Lead solutions from design through production rollout and ongoing support.
• Solve application and data issues with durable solutions.
• Contribute to architecture discussions, CI/CD and quality assurance.
• Utilize AWS and other cloud-native resources to build scalable systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams on solutions.
• Share knowledge and coach engineers to advance capabilities.
