dLocal is seeking a Java Technical Referent to raise engineering bar, design scalable backend services, and drive automation in the finance core microservices. You will lead technical standards, review architectures, and mentor engineers across the team.

Formación

• Proven hands-on Software Development experience in Java SE and Spring / Spring Boot. At least 7 years of experience.
• Experience working with microservice architectures
• Object-oriented analysis and design using common design patterns and Java SE internals (Classloading, Memory Management, Transaction management)
• Good knowledge of Relational and Non-relational Databases
• Experience with Cloud Providers such as AWS (preferred) or GCP
• Ability to quickly adapt to Python codebases
• Strong grasp of financial/reconciliation business logic and data quality; attention to auditability
• Ownership & Proactivity—Take end-to-end responsibility and propose concrete solutions
• Results-Oriented Communication—Clear updates to stakeholders
• Automation mindset: tests, tooling, workflow improvements
• Proven ability to operate with autonomy, mentor others
• Excellent collaboration with engineering and non-technical stakeholders
• Based in Montevideo, Uruguay or Buenos Aires, Argentina
• Advanced English (mandatory)

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design and delivery of reliable Java microservices for finance core and reconciliation.
• Define and enforce engineering standards, acting as the technical bar-raiser.
• Audit, maintain, and improve existing repositories.
• Drive automation to reduce manual reviews and errors and optimize workflows.
• Mentor teammates via code/design reviews and knowledge-sharing.
