CodeRoad Inc. seeks a Senior Backend Engineer to own the health and evolution of Java backends for mission-critical systems. You will steer 3-tier architectures, optimize SQL, and drive API integrations while mentoring the engineering team.

Remote work is 100% US-based contractor-friendly. The role emphasizes autonomy, documentation clarity, and technical excellence across delivery lifecycles.

Formación

• 5+ years of dedicated backend development experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Java and Spring ecosystem (Boot/Cloud/Hibernate).
• Strong SQL database management and performance tuning.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, and cloud-native environments (Azure or AWS).
• Experience with microservices or distributed 3-tier architectures.
• Advanced English proficiency for US-based collaboration.
• Nearshore/offshore client-facing startup culture preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead backend development of robust Java architectures with emphasis on performance, security, and scalability.
• Design and evolve RESTful integrations to automate enterprise workflows.
• Manage SQL databases including schema design, queries, and tuning.
• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers through code reviews and guidance.
• Identify technical debt and apply modern methodologies to improve delivery.
