Job summary

Proofpoint is a global cybersecurity leader hiring a Software Engineer III to join the Unified Detection team in Córdoba, Argentina. You will build and deploy large-scale threat detection services, writing clean, well-tested code and owning features end-to-end in a fast-paced engineering culture.

You’ll work with distributed systems, cloud environments (AWS/Azure), and containerized workloads (Kubernetes/Docker), gaining exposure to observability tools and RESTful APIs while growing with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems (or equivalent practical experience).
• 4+ years of software development experience in Python or Golang.
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and containerized workloads (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience with observability/monitoring tools (Grafana, Kibana) preferred.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, secure coding foundations, and automated testing practices.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to moderately complex features and components within the detection system.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Take ownership of smaller features or components with quality testing.
• Work with minimal supervision on routine tasks and seek guidance when needed.
• Anticipate blockers, communicate risks early, and collaborate to address them on timelines.
• Collaborate well with teammates and participate in code reviews and retrospectives.
