Job summary

Avenga is seeking a Senior Front-end Engineer with React.js and Node.js experience in Argentina, ideally Buenos Aires, to lead a strategic financial-services project. You will drive frontend and BFF development across the full software lifecycle in an agile setting.

You will collaborate with product and tech stakeholders, design cloud-native solutions, and mentor teammates while working in a team of engineers, leads, and UX specialists. Occasional in-person collaboration is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial experience with React.js and modern frontend practices.
• Hands-on Node.js (v18+) experience, preferably with Express.js and/or NestJS.
• Solid understanding of microservices and/or event-driven architectures.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases.
• Practical experience deploying and managing applications in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Serverless Framework or other IaC tools.
• Strong knowledge of GitLab, including branching strategies, feature development workflows, and hotfix processes.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Datadog and Opsgenie.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Native or fluent Spanish and Intermediate English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain frontend applications with a focus on React.js UX.
• Build Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) services using Node.js, Express.js, and NestJS.
• Create intuitive interfaces prioritizing usability and performance.

In Argentina, we are looking for a Senior Front-end (React.js with Node.js experience) Engineer to lead a strategic financial-services project. You will work across the entire software development lifecycle, from technical discovery and solution design to implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.

You will build modern cloud-native solutions, collaborate with product and technology stakeholders, and influence architectural decisions in an agile, innovation-driven environment.

As part of the team, you will join a multidisciplinary squad composed of Software Engineers, Technical Leads, Product Owners, and UX specialists.

This role is open to candidates in Argentina, preferably Buenos Aires, for occasional in-person collaboration.

Core skills you’ll bring
