Job summary

Rebill is seeking a hands-on Head of Engineering to lead a small in‑house team alongside the CTO and manage external partners. You will own delivery, reliability, and the technical bar of everything we ship.

You will push AI-native workflows, scale event‑driven microservices across Azure and AWS, and drive architecture, code quality, and production readiness in a fast‑growing fintech across six markets. Hybrid role in the Americas.

Qualifications

• 8+ years as a software engineer building payments or financial infrastructure.
• Experience with acquiring, processing, ledgers, or fintech moving real volume.
• Hands-on with coding, reviews, and incident handling.
• Experience working with external engineering partners or agencies.
• Distributed systems in production: event-driven architectures, queues, Kubernetes, IaC.
• Fluent English and Spanish in a business context.

Responsibilities

• Own reliability, uptime, incident response, observability, and performance of payment routing.
• Lead delivery of the quarterly technical roadmap and release cadence.
• Maintain technical bar: code review, testing, on-call, and documentation.
• Reduce time-to-market by turning new integrations into configurable patterns.
• Make capacity decisions about what is built in-house vs. with partners and costs.
