Job summary

Rebill seeks a senior engineering leader to own reliability and delivery of our payments platform across six markets. You will lead a small, in-house team and work with external engineering partners, reporting to the CTO who owns architecture and security.

This is a hands-on seat where you will review pull requests and write code in the first year, shaping production systems and cross-market reliability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building software with leadership of engineers.
• Hands-on in coding, reviews, and incident response.
• Experience with payments, acquiring, processing or fintech volumes.
• Experience working with external engineering partners.
• Distributed systems in production and event-driven architectures.
• Fluent English and Spanish are required for cross-market work.

Responsibilities

• Own reliability: uptime, incident response, observability, and routing performance.
• Own delivery: quarterly roadmap, release cadence, and committed dates.
• Maintain technical bar: code review standards, testing, on-call, and docs.
• Improve time-to-market by turning new integrations into configurable patterns.
• Make capacity decisions on what to build in-house vs. with partners.
