Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a senior construction electrical engineer for projects in Argentina. The role demands extensive HV experience on mining projects, strong interpretation of design documents, and close collaboration with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure compliance with standards and schedules.

Responsibilities include coordinating quality programs, ensuring timely information flow, and supporting construction supervision across disciplines.

Qualifications

Electrical engineer degree and ten (10) years of work-related experience in substation and Line construction.
Proven High Voltage experience in at least 2 mining projects.
Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to craft and supervision and help satisfy quality requirements on the project.
Assist craftsmen, foremen, and project supervision with construction-related issues identified on drawings.
Provide interpretation of design documents to support project managers and contractors.
Maintain effective communication between design engineers and project team for timely information flow.
Coordinate the project quality program when required by the construction engineering department.
