Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior/Lead DevOps Engineer to deploy and operationalize a Kubernetes-based cloud environment on AWS for a short-term project. You will design scalable, secure infrastructure, manage ECS/Fargate workloads, and implement robust CI/CD with GitOps patterns.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in DevOps/SRE, strong Terraform skills, and experience with Kafka, EMR, Airflow, and modern observability tools. Remote/work options available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering, supporting 24/7 production environments.
• Advanced AWS experience including ECS/Fargate, ALB/NLB, VPC, Route 53, CloudWatch, IAM, and Secrets Manager.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, modular design, multi-environment deployments.
• Containerization with Docker and ECS task definitions.
• CI/CD experience with Jenkins, Groovy, Jenkinsfiles, and shared libraries.
• Experience with streaming/data infra such as Kafka (MSK) and EMR/Airflow.
• Monitoring/observability with Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, OpenSearch.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure AWS infrastructure.
• Manage container workloads using ECS/Fargate and autoscaling.
• Develop reusable Terraform modules and CI/CD pipelines.
• Operate streaming platforms and data infrastructure.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting; drive incident response.
• Optimize AWS costs and security postures.
• Automate operations with Python, Bash, and Lambda.
• Document architecture and runbooks for support teams.
