Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team. This hybrid role sits at the intersection of platform engineering and data infrastructure, owning reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities.

You will build and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, implement CI/CD pipelines, and develop self-service DataOps tooling to empower data engineers to ship high‑quality data products faster and more safely.

Competenze

• 5+ years in DevOps/Platform Engineering or SRE with at least 2 years in data engineering.
• Hands-on with AWS data services like Glue, Athena, S3, IAM, VPC.

Mansioni

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data infrastructure.
• Build and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using IaC (Terraform and/or CDK).
• Own observability stack for data pipelines including metrics and logs.
• Develop DataOps self-service tooling and templates.
• Manage container/infrastructure (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda).
• Operate workflow orchestration environments (MWAA, Airflow, Step Functions).
• Build and maintain AWS Glue ETL jobs (PySpark).
• Drive security practices across the data platform.
