EPAM Systems in Argentina is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to architect, scale, and secure the data platform powering our UCC reporting stack. You will lead data engineering efforts across OLTP/PostgreSQL and OLAP/StarRocks, drive schema changes, and optimize queries for performance at scale.

You will mentor teammates, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and help shape the data strategy, ensuring reliable, efficient data delivery and scalable analytics capabilities across the organization.

Formación

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering/DBA roles
• 1+ year in leadership or team management
• Extensive experience with PostgreSQL at scale
• Strong knowledge of OLAP technologies (StarRocks or similar)
• Background in data warehousing principles and implementation
• Expertise in query performance tuning and storage optimization
• Proficiency with Kotlin or Golang for data tooling
• Strong communication and mentoring abilities
• English language proficiency at B2 level or higher

Responsabilidades

• Architect and fortify data platform for UCC reporting stack
• Troubleshoot data models across OLTP and OLAP environments
• Plan schema updates, backfills, and large migrations
• Tune queries and storage for transactional and analytical workloads
• Mentor teammates and collaborate with stakeholders
