Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to own reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics. The role is hybrid, centered on AWS-first infrastructure, CI/CD, and DevOps tooling to accelerate data products while ensuring high quality and secure data operations.

You will work at the intersection of platform engineering and data infrastructure, driving observability, security, and collaboration with data scientists and security teams.

Formación

• 5+ years in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE with at least 2 years in data engineering.
• Deep expertise with AWS core services: S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Secrets Manager, and CloudFormation/CDK.
• Hands-on with AWS data services: Glue, Athena, and S3 lifecycle, encryption, and events.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools: Terraform and/or AWS CDK.
• Strong CI/CD experience across GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
• Experience with containers (Docker) and orchestration (ECS/EKS or Kubernetes).
• Proven ability to design observability systems: metrics, logging, tracing, alerting.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and related data infra.
• Build and manage AWS-based cloud infrastructure using IaC.
• Own observability stack for data pipelines with metrics, logs, and alerts.
• Develop self-service DataOps tooling and reusable pipeline templates.
• Manage container infrastructure for data ingestion microservices and workers.
• Design and operate MWAA/Airflow workflows and Step Functions, including scaling.
