Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to operate and improve a Snowflake-based enterprise data platform in a regulated healthcare environment. You will own data ingestion, modeling, and quality across RAW, CURATED, and CONSUMPTION layers, using Python, dbt, and Argo on Kubernetes.

You will collaborate with Cloud/DevOps and Analytics teams, mentor engineers, and help drive reliability and performance for enterprise-scale datasets and ingestion pipelines in a 100% remote LATAM setup.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Data Engineering or Data Platform Engineering.
• Advanced SQL and dbt for transformation, testing, lineage, and deployment.
• Hands-on with Snowflake data platforms, warehouse design and production troubleshooting.
• Experience with AWS data services (S3) and event/file-based ingestion patterns.
• Experience with ingestion tools like Fivetran or HVR and custom pipelines.
• Experience orchestrating data workloads with Argo Workflows on Kubernetes.
• Python or equivalent language for data engineering and automation.
• Strong data modeling, pipelines, schema evolution, validation, and quality.
• Observability, logging, alerting, and incident-management for production data platforms.
• Ability to lead incident resolution, root cause analysis, and preventive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical ownership for the Data Platform within LatAm coverage window.
• Operate and improve Snowflake production and non-production environments.
• Administer data access with least-privilege controls and audit-ready practices.
• Operate and improve data ingestion across Fivetran, HVR, and custom pipelines.
• Design and maintain pipelines across RAW, CURATED, CONSUMPTION layers with tests and CI/CD.
• Support S3 data-lake operations and downstream Snowflake workloads.
• Coordinate with Cloud/DevOps for Argo/Kubernetes workloads.
• Define data quality and observability standards, including freshness and schema drift checks.
• Lead major data incidents with root-cause analysis and preventive actions.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and enable effective handoffs across teams.
