Job summary

Coderio designs and delivers scalable digital solutions for global companies. We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data platforms for large volumes of financial transactions.

Strong Python/SQL, Spark, AWS experience, and familiarity with modern data architectures are required. Candidates must reside exclusively in Argentina, Brazil, or Uruguay. 100% remote option with potential on-site collaborations is available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Big Data, or related software roles.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and software development; Scala or Java a plus.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark/PySpark, Delta Lake, and modern lakehouse architectures.
• Strong expertise in AWS data services (S3, Glue, Athena, EventBridge, Firehose, Lambda).
• Experience with data orchestration and warehousing (Airflow, Snowflake/Redshift/BigQuery).
• Experience designing real-time streaming architectures (Kafka, Kinesis); familiarity with dbt.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-throughput data pipelines for financial and transactional data.
• Design, scale, and optimize cloud data warehouse and lakehouse architectures.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to translate needs into scalable data solutions.
• Implement data quality frameworks, automated testing, monitoring, and alerting for data reliability and compliance.
• Drive DataOps adoption including CI/CD, workflow automation, and IaC for data systems.
• Champion data governance, privacy, and security standards (GDPR/LGPD).
• Mentor junior and mid-level data engineers, promoting engineering excellence.
